She laughs citrus at clouds in the sky.
She pinches their tails between finger and thumb
and draws them from the atmosphere.
She breathes them into her lungs--
fluttering membranes lined with words,
the cavity of her chest is flooded with words,
blood fueled poetry sloshing against her heart, her ribs,
pent up letters left over from her verbal fast.
She breathes them into her lungs--
the silking moisture of stratus, cumulonimbus, cirrus
peels the words from her flesh and drinks the words from her veins
and
when she breathes them out,
when she flicks them back into the air,
they rain
ink.
