tastes like iron salty in your/ mouth shiny sharp hood
ornament breathes shrill against the cloth/ around
your bones ribcage rattle thundering violent to the
beat/ of your heart of your eardrums as the driver/
screams sounds drowned by the ironmouth pumping/ and the
headlights blink slow in acknowledgement it is/
machine like you machine made to go machine indifferent
and/ in this moment you are/ hyperalive it is/
the reason you walk at night down the middle lane./
